Cascara (Coffee Fruit Peel Tea)
ORIGIN: CARANAVI, BOLIVIA
FAMILY: RODRIGUEZ FAMILY
NOTES: PLUM, ROSE HIP, GRAPEFRUIT
Cascara, which means âskinâ or âpeelâ in Spanish refers to simply that: the skin of the coffee cherry! During processing, all of the coffee fruit and skin is removed from the coffee seed (or bean). Typically this is either discarded, or in some cases, this pulp is turned into compost and used on the farm as fertilizer. However, more recently cascara has been dried and enjoyed as âcoffee cherry teaâ all over the world. Agricafe has harvested this cascara from their organic farms, meaning no pesticides have come in contact with the fruit, and carefully harvested it to ensure that they produce amazing, quality cascara.
Recipe:
- 8g cascara : 250g water
- Temperatuure - 92CÂ
- 5 minute Steep Time
*This product is available in 50-gram premium bags.
